DSGC connects with young professionals to increase the impact on SDGs

The Dutch Sustainable Growth Coalition (DSGC) receiced 200 bright young international delegates attending the One Young World (OYW) Summit in The Hague on 19 October 2018. During a community dinner Dutch Executives met the international delegates to exchange views on topics related to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and to create impactful connections.

Unexpected guest was prime minister Mark Rutte. The following executives of the DSGC were present at the event:  Jan Peter Balkenende (DSGC), Paul Polman (Unilever) Feike Sijbesma (DSM), Marjan van Loon (Shell), Hans de Jong (Philips), Irine Gaasbeek (Accenture) and Hans de Boer (VNO-NCW).

Jan Peter Balkenende: “As we all know, the UN SDGs unite people, countries and individuals. It facilitates collective action around the globe that will help us find solutions for our most pressing challenges. I am proud DSGC hosted 200 international bright young people and provides them with the opportunity to meet Dutch professionals. During these evening impactful connections were established and seeds were planted for unconventional collaborations in the near future. As we are all in for the same goal: an equal and sustainable world in 2030.”
