UN Global Compact Leaders Summit: 20 Years of Uniting Business

The UN Global Compact Leaders Summit marks 20 years of uniting business for a better world. Taking place virtually on 15–16 June 2020, the Leaders Summit promises to be bigger, better and more inclusive than any physical event. The high-level programme will “chase the sun” to allow our participants and Global Compact Local Networks to participate in their own time zones.

Stimulate cleaner ocean shipping

Convinced of the urgency to act on climate, a group of Dutch multinationals - FrieslandCampina, Heineken, Philips, DSM, Shell and Unilever - all members of the Dutch Sustainable Growth Coalition (DSGC) – joined forces with A.P. The conference is about SDG 2 and SDG 17. Since SDG 2 is one of the focus areas where the DSGC wants to create more impact on, we support this event.

SDG Impact Summit

Exactly 2 years since the Netherlands and the 192 other Member States of the United Nations agreed on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), an SDG Impact Summit will take place in Amsterdam. We will take stock of where we are with the implementation of the SDGs and what the opportunities and challenges are that we will work on together.The DSGC is one of the organizers of the Summit and DSGC chair Jan Peter Balkenende and Hans de Jong (Philips) will be part of the panel debate.
