‘Dutch multinationals regain their title as most sustainable in the world’

Large Dutch companies have managed to preserve their leading international position in the field of sustainability, as evidenced by the results of the annual Dow Jones Sustainability Index. VNO-NCW is particularly proud of Unilever, AkzoNobel, ING, and KLM-Air France. Not only did they win in their category, they were also listed as Industry Sector Leader.

Unilever’s unique achievement
This year marks the 15th anniversary of the Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI). Since its launch, this sustainability index has listed Unilever and 15 other companies for 15 consecutive years. Unilever was even listed as Industry Sector Leader 13 times, with the exception of 2011 and 2013. This is an unprecedented, outstanding achievement, according to VNO-NCW. This year’s list of the world’s top 24 most sustainable companies includes AkzoNobel (Materials category), ING (Finance), KLM-Air France (Transport), and Unilever (Food and Beverages).
