The DSGC activities

Expert sessions
The DSGC accelerate sustainable progress and stimulate sustainable business models by fostering dialogue and knowledge exchange between businesses, the Dutch government and other key stakeholders. Since 2022, the DSGC is organizing in-depth sessions with experts from the member companies and the Dutch national government on the three transitions: climate, circularity and social equality. The coalition creates support for the recommendations of these sessions among all stakeholders in the value chain: governments and companies (suppliers and buyers).

The three transitions

Greenhouse Gasses Emissions

The DSGC focusses on accelerating scope 3 emission reduction across value chains. All DSGC members are committed to the Dutch Climate Accord (2019) and/or the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) , in line with the less than 1,5-2°C global warming scenario.

Circular Economy

The DSGC contributes to the circular economy by advocating for ambitious and intelligent targets for the short, mid, and long term, working with the government, suppliers and customers to help steer progress. The DSGC members aim to considerably improve their circular economy efforts by closing material loops through multiparty partnerships.

Social Equality

The DSGC focusses on collaboration and inclusion to improve and expand social programs amongst the DSGC-members. They stand for equity, diversity and inclusion in their business and value chains and work on social inequality in a growing polarized society. In the current polarized context, the members take an active role to listen and participate in relevant societal conversations.
